We deliver an Annual School Uniform bank to help vulnerable children return to school with dignity and pride. The project is delivered in partnership with the local SNP office and supports over 300 children every year by providing children from nursery to senior years with recycled school uniforms, lunch boxes, footwear, school bags, underwear, stationery, ties, blazers, coats and gym clothing free of charge. All clothing and equipment is donated by the local community.

This project operates in the middle of the school holidays and is aimed at helping children to build their confidence which can overall impact on a positive effect on their academic achievement. We could not operate this project without the community’s support. The whole neighbourhood gets involved either through donations or assisting in the delivery of this project.

During the summer of 2020, we operated the project via Alloa’s Town Hall and we were delighted to support 568 children during the COVID Pandemic. STV News and BBC’s Reporting Scotland came along for an interview about all the hard work our staff and volunteers do to support vulnerable children living within Clackmannanshire to return to school with dignity and pride.
