Highlights of 24
/in Latest news/by Jon Dimmock
We have some of our highlights from the Gate over 2024 and the work we’ve done across Clackmannanshire. A huge well done to all our volunteers (old and new!) who helped contribute to another massive year for the organisation.
Have you seen our Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service?
/in Uncategorized/by Jon DimmockThe Gate was one of 187 organisations accross the UK to be recognised for our outstanding work within the local community.
After nearly 10 years, the awards is still proudly displayed on our cafe floor. This award celebrated the value and importance of voluntary service, and the impact of our organisation on the local community.
Come down and enjoy a hot drink or some cake, and see this (and our other accolades) recognising the hard work of our volunteers.

The Gate this winter
/in Latest news/by Jon DimmockLike everyone else, we at The Gate have been following the news regarding winter fuel benefits. We want people to know that if you are feeling anxious or worried about the coming winter months, you aren’t alone, and we’re here to help.
Equally, if you share the same worries we do about the wellbeing of people in our communities, you can help us to make a difference. You can go to the-gate-charity.org/donate-money/ or drop us a message if you’re interested in volunteering some time with us.
We pride ourselves on being responsive to the needs of the communities we support and will continue to do so whatever comes this winter, and beyond.
